It really feels like December today. Got my cozy socks and pyjamas on; sitting by the (fake) fire, ready to take in a good movie. The Christmas holidays are a few short weeks away.
No mantle this year, though. We usually hang stockings, so this year we’ll have to be creative.
Christmas decorations will be pulled from storage, and I plan to start decorating this weekend.

Did your home renovations include removing your mantle? When we didn’t have one, we hung our stockings on a bookshelf.
We will probably put up our inside decorations this weekend, though we’re all still recovering from a cold, so maybe not.

We did an overhaul and initially considered putting up a wooden mantle-but honestly we are just loving the clean look after so many years of clutter 😆! But less cozy in look than before although much better heat (we had 25 years of winter draft )

I’ve never had a mantle so we usually just pin our stockings to the wall. HA. Florida doesn’t have fireplaces in most places, so not mantle to speak of!
I am definitely in the Christmas mood. I love when my lights turn on every evening!
